Chief Executive Officer
Serge Riendeau was appointed CEO effective May 14, 2018 for a three-year term, and was reappointed for a one-year term, effective, May 14, 2021.
Mr. Riendeau is a leading figure in Canada’s dairy industry. He has sat on the board of the Agropur cooperative for 26 years and served as its president for 15 years. In 2017, Mr. Riendeau retired and left his position as president of the cooperative.
His management experience is rich and broad. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Riendeau was involved in municipal politics as a councillor and mayor of the town of Barnston, Quebec.
Mr. Riendeau is co-owner of the Riendeau farm at Gendron with his wife and son, who is the principal shareholder. The farm has a production quota of 250 kg/day and owns 1,000 acres of land.
Mr. Riendeau is an active member of the community. In part, he supports charities serving children who are victims of violence and bullying.
